The sales figures for Alan Wake 2 have been impressive so far, but are likely to increase in the future.
Many fans were eagerly awaiting the release of Alan Wake 2. This is also reflected in the sales figures. These have not yet been officially communicated or confirmed to the outside world by those responsible, but according to Piers Harding-Rolls from Ampere Analysis, the number of units sold now amounts to around 850,000. However, Harding-Rolls writes on X/Twitter, these are only the copies sold for Xbox and PlayStation.
Since no figures for PC sales have yet been presented, it cannot be said with certainty how often Alan Wake 2 has already been sold over the counter. However, it is likely that the 1 million mark has been broken.
As Piers Harding-Rolls also notes, further discount campaigns and the possible inclusion of subscriptions should further fuel interest in Alan Wake 2. The fact that Remedy Entertainment recently released the New Game Plus update for Alan Wake 2 and is working on two expansions for 2024 will certainly also benefit sales figures in the medium term.
