Game fixes and release notes
Update 3 will be available to download on Xbox Series X|S, Windows PCs and Steam starting early next week. Starting December 14, 2023, live content will be available in Career, Featured Multiplayer and Rivals modes.
New fixes in Update 3 will further improve the game’s overall stability and performance, as well as alleviate some of the issues most commonly reported by players on our community channels. The team is constantly working hard on bugs, some of which are not immediately visible to players but are critical to the game stability of all players.
Below are the highlights of what will be fixed or improved in Update 3. We will post the full release notes on the Forza support site next week
- Fixed an issue where it appeared that the Driver Level would reset to Level 1 after downloading Update 2 and entering the Free Play Test Drive.
- The impact on front and rear downforce when hit by another car has been rebalanced.
Fixed an issue that caused custom steering wheel input layouts to reset to their default settings after restarting the game while both a controller and steering wheel are connected to the PC or console.Editor’s note: Although we intended to release this improvement as part of Update 3, we have determined that additional time is required to implement and test the fix. Instead, it will be introduced to Forza Motorsport in a future update.- Fixed an issue that allowed players to sell their Builders Cup reward cars, preventing them from reacquiring the cars and completing the associated reward showcases.
We remain focused on improving our overall quality on PC as we know we have more work to do there. Here are some of the PC-specific improvements in Update 3:
- Stability and performance are improved on lower spec PCs.
- Fixed various random crashes during multiplayer races, particularly on PCs with AMD GPUs.
- Reduced the occurrence of a bug where the track or other objects become invisible during the race.
We’ve also introduced new options in the Screen Narrator section of the Accessibility settings menu to narrate your racing position and the names of the drivers in front and behind you.
New route – Hockenheim
Hockenheim is known for its long straights and extremely narrow final section and is one of the largest European race tracks. Since its introduction in the 1930s, there have been numerous changes to the layout, the last of which was designed by Hermann Tilke in 2002.
Forza Motorsport features 3 Hockenheim track layouts that you can play in Career Mode, Multiplayer Mode, Free Play and Rivals Mode. Drive your fastest laps on the 2.8-mile Full Circuit, the 2.3-mile National Circuit and the 1.6-mile Short Circuit. Master all three layouts with your favorite car builds in Time Attack with leaderboards for every car class in the game.
