One Piece and Netflix just gave us an absolutely colossal surprise announcement. When the news broke, fans were already excited, which means…
I suppose there is no need to introduce them. Everyone knows One Piece. It is THE manga that has been a hit in recent years, whether in the paper version or in the anime. The series has become a real must-have all over the world and multiplies projects. Recently, the franchise shined on Netflix with its fresh and well-made live-action series, which was a complete success and also received quite good response. There will also be a second season, but the platform also has other projects…
One Piece returns to Netflix with a big surprise!
Yes, Netflix has just made a colossal announcement, a surprise that no one expected and that is already causing a huge reaction on social networks. The SVOD platform in collaboration with WT Studio (Attack of the TitansSeasons 1 to 3, Spy x family) and the creators of the manga will release a brand new series. You read that right: One Piece will return with a brand new anime exclusively on Netflix. At the moment there is little information, except that a priori it would be a remake of the first episodes of the anime.
The One Piece (so it is said) would begin with the legendary East Blue arc and therefore bring up to date the drawings, animations and staging of the series’ emblematic episodes that date back to the 90s, in case you may have forgotten. Unfortunately, we don’t have a release date for The One Piece on Netflix yet. We have to wait.
A new series and a project that already promises to be huge
The news is hardly known when it is already causing reactions everywhere on social networks. Fans seem to be dying for this big comeback of the manga. With a talented production studio, The One Piece could very well be of high quality. In any case, it looks huge. Even restarting the manga from the beginning promises to be a particularly tricky and long-term project.
In any case, this new program is no coincidence. Anime has never been more popular. The success of the live-action series has also allowed many newcomers to discover the universe, a rich and colorful world whose approach in anime is somewhat abrupt these days. Either we have to deal with episodes that are very old, or we start following a twenty-year-old manga that has more than 1000 episodes. It calms down a little. We might as well tell you that a new One Piece series is more than welcome.
Hype or not?
