‘Moon Rebel’ director Zack Snyder is apparently ready to direct a fortnite movie, but that doesn’t mean one is in the works.
Earlier this year, Snyder revealed that he actually enjoys Fortnite and regularly plays it with his son (who, oddly enough, enjoys cosplaying as Misex from Rick and Morty gentlemen). Now, in a recent interview with Etalk, the director was asked if he would like to direct a movie based on the popular battle royale game, and his answer was simply: “Of course!” Interestingly, it turns out that he actually wants to Fortnite is getting some Rebels Moon-themed skins.
“I really want to make some Fortnite skins for this movie [Rebel Moon]First, like, as the most obvious basic engagement. But yeah, look, Fortnite is an amazing world and it’s been an amazing pastime for me. But it’s really cool and the alchemy they create there is really unique. When I started playing it I thought I knew what it was and then it was completely different. You definitely don’t know. You can never say never – that’s my motto in this industry. ”
Whether that happens or not, who knows – Fortnite is clearly incredibly popular, and with more and more movie adaptations on the horizon, it wouldn’t be surprising if it got one too. Whether or not we want a movie like this from someone like Snyder is another question though – Snyder didn’t have a great review of Star Wars original Rebel Moon: Part 1 – Sons of Fire. As of this writing, it holds a 21% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, which obviously isn’t a determining factor in whether the movie is good or bad, but it doesn’t paint a satisfying picture. Maybe Snyder should finish the “Fortnite” movie and continue playing Mr. Misex.
