Cutting Amber in Lego Fortnite is a product you can craft by harvesting raw amber in a specific environment in your world. It took us a while to find the right biome to gather this gear, so be prepared to run around for a while.
Additionally, before you can get this material in Lego Fortnite, you will need to build a Gem Cutter machine. To do this, you’ll need to spend time exploring and gathering even more items – it’s a lot of work to get Cut Amber but it’s worth it in the end.

How to get raw amber in Lego Fortnite
To get raw amber in Lego Fortnite, you need to locate the Dry Valley (or desert) biome.. In our world, we appeared in the Grassland region and had to spend some time running to the southeastern part of our map to find the Dry Valley biome.
You will also need an uncommon or better pickaxe to be able to harvest Rough Amber.
When you arrive in the Dry Valley biome, you may suffer from the heat. You can counter this by putting your feet in some of the bodies of water scattered around, eating a Snow Berry, and using a Cool Head Charm. Additionally, you can avoid the heat by visiting the area at night, at dawn or dusk.
In the Dry Valley, you need to look around the tall rocks to find semi-glowing yellow formations growing there – this is Amber. They will usually be quite high on these rocks, so you will need to build steps to reach them.
Once you can reach the Amber, hit it several times with your pickaxe until it breaks into smaller pieces that you can pick up. You now have Rough Amber.
How to get cut amber in Lego Fortnite
To get cut amber in Lego Fortnite, you need raw amber and a gem cutter.
To craft a Gem Cutter in Lego Fortnite you will need:
- x20 marble slabs
- x5 Raw amber
- x5 Sand Claws – Harvested from wolves in the Desert biome.
- x3 Sand Shells – Harvested from Rollers in the Desert biome.
Once you’ve built one, interact with it and select the “Cut Amber” recipe on the left side of the materials menu:
Confirm that you want to make this recipe, then use the “Add” option at the top of the screen to indicate how much raw amber you want to make into cut amber. Once you start inserting the coins, the machine starts automatically.
Once your Cut Amber is ready, you can use the command requested at the end of the processing bar at the top of the Gem Cutter menu to collect your material.
