Disney has confirmed a release schedule for next year’s film, but with Andor nowhere to be seen, the series appears to have been pushed back to 2024.
Andorra fans, I’m sorry to say it, but those hoping to see the second season of the hit Star Wars series sometime in 2024 seem to be out of luck.Earlier today, Disney shared Release schedule Ando is not on the list of several of its films set to be released next year, both theatrically and on Disney+. The main reason this feels like a strange omission is the fact that an August 2024 release window was confirmed earlier this year, so there must have been some changes to at least its expected release.

A few things that are sure to cause delays are the WGA writers’ strike and the SAG-AFTRA actors’ strike (which, as a reminder, is totally reasonable – don’t be left without a paddy just because your favorite show is delayed). So, considering that production will now be completed later than expected, it’s no surprise to hear that it’s been delayed. The question that remains now is whether it will continue into 2024, or if we will have to wait until 2025 to catch the second season.
There are several Star Wars projects listed on the release schedule, though, so if you’re a fan of movies about a galaxy far, far away, you don’t have to worry. While no dates have been confirmed yet, Season 2 of Acolyte, The Bad Batch, Skull Crew, and Legends of the Jedi are all scheduled to be released in 2024, all of which will be coming to Disney+. This means you have no shortage of options when it comes to watching new Star Wars shows.
