Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain was Hideo Kojima’s finale Metal Gear Solid game, and it was a strange one. Although it offers some of the best stealth action and shooting, the open world and “mission” structure didn’t necessarily appeal to fans of the more linear, tightly scripted feel of the previous games.

But MGS5The most unexpected change was the decision to replace David Hayter. Since then he has been the English voice actor for Solid Snake Metal Gear Solidpublication 1998 with film star Keifer Sutherland. And as many fans rightly point out, the casting decision is even stranger considering Snake doesn’t speak much The phantom pain. Kojima’s decision to pass on Hayter for the role amounted to a minor disaster Video game drama from the 2010swhat it looks like Hayter remained largely unclear as to why the line-up change took place.

But maybe it’s time to start a new chapter? In a recent post on Twitter (currently known as “X”), Hayter reports that he finally played in 2015 Metal gears Game he wasn’t in. Not only that, he seems to have enjoyed it too.

After saying he had been “putting it off for years,” he confessed that the “game was pretty fun” (perhaps a not-so-subtle reference to the “You’re pretty good” line featured in a series of Metal gears title?) after realizing that the “Laryngitic Snake” wasn’t well received. Right there with you, Hayter.

Hayter is known to post various posts metal gear and other jokes about video gamesincluding one about how long it has been since the last main part GTA Game came out – this one received a MGS4 “Old Snake” reference.

David Hayter has recently appeared in advertisements for the somehow not so great Metal Gear Solid Master Collection. His line, “This is just the beginning,” in this ad certainly made fans wonder what else is around the corner Metal gears Universe.
