We understand that replayability is crucial in an arcade game, which is why we’re excited to share with you how to do it Broken rail provides non-stop entertainment! We asked ourselves how we could create a new and immersive experience for both veterans and newcomers to arcade-on-rails shooters, and our answer is the unpredictable “Glitch” gameplay modifier system. As you play through one of the six acts that await you Broken railIn the full-voiced, campy story, you’ll encounter strange “glitches” that turn the game on its head. Your shotgun could start firing icy shots, zombies could no longer be vulnerable to dismemberment, and…throwing a grenade could trigger a risky roulette?! The new Glitch Gauntlet mode refreshes every round Broken rail with randomly selected enemies and constant random “glitches” to contend with. It could be the first roguelike mode ever used in an on-rails shooter.
Crazy, over-the-top firearms give you the edge in combat
It’s important that the weaponry in any shooting game feels vibrant and satisfying. That’s why we improved it Broken rail‘s weapons with spicy elemental attributes. Send zombies flying with explosive projectiles, put out fires and freeze enemies with icy shots, build up an electrical force to make your enemies explode, and more. In Story Mode you can switch between different weapons scattered throughout each act, but in other modes like Score Attack you play as one of eight different unlockable characters, each with their own distinctive loadouts, making each round feel new feels.
Various specially infected creatures keep you on your toes
Of course, it would be boring to defeat the same few types of enemies over and over again. With Broken railWe made sure to include a wide variety of different zombies. The highlights of this are our special infected abominations. These beasts each have unique attacks and characteristics that force you to pull the trigger quickly. The gigantic Slab towers over you and deals massive damage, the demonic Fetch tries to burn you with its powerful laser attack, and Gluttons will even spit smelly acid at you if you let them get too close. There are six different types of these enemies in total, and faster and more aggressive “Glitched” variants serve as brutal boss encounters. Do you think you have mastered the art of butchering? Kill how you want with a variety of options, difficulties and modes
We designed Broken rail to be a blast no matter how you play! Jump into the action alone or with a friend, with optional co-op support. Learn the basics on the easy-to-access Assisted difficulty level or dive headfirst into a dangerous challenge on the Off the Rails difficulty level. Break the fourth wall with a fun arcade story or experience fast-paced action in the never-ending Onslaught mode or our special Shoutout Shootout mode.
