A number of visually impressive games have been released in a variety of formats this year, and tech-focused site Digital Foundry has decided to list its favourites. It was always unlikely that a Nintendo Switch game would win, but Digital Foundry also awarded honorable mentions to the visually striking Super Mario Bros. Wonder and the atmospheric Metroid Prime Remastered. If you’re curious who won Best Video Game Graphics in 2023, it’s Ubisoft’s Avatar: Frontier of Pandora, followed by Alan Wake II.
