If you’ve seen it on Netflix, you might have guessed it.
Michiel Huisman (Gunnar) and Ed Skrein (Atticus Noble) once shared a role alongside Daenerys Targaryen. In Zack Snyder’s film they clearly take opposite paths.

Daario Naharis was played by Ed Skrein in three episodes of the third season and then by Michiel Huisman for a significantly longer period starting in the fourth season – ultimately for a total of 18 episodes.
The face change was simply quietly ignored in the fantasy universe; behind the scenes it was probably due to an argument between Skrein and HBO. The actor gave in later Interviews stated that his role was supposedly recast for “political reasons.”
