Fortnite: Leak reveals new mode for Rocket Racing

In December, in addition to LEGO Fortnite and Fortnite Festival, a third new game mode, Rocket Racing, was introduced in the long-running favorite – and this will probably be expanded in the foreseeable future in the form of another game option. At least that’s what a leak shows!

The Rocket Racing mode in Fortnite, developed by the Rocket League makers at Psyonix, has also become established, although not at the immensely successful level of LEGO Fortnite. Accordingly, fans of the racing mode should now be happy that supplies appear to be on the way – in the form of another new game mode.

Accordingly, Rocket Racing could get a new mode called “Death Race” in the future, which gives the traditional racing format a new spin. According to the data miner BeastFNCreative, there are already indications of this mode, which will then use its own maps. These are probably more difficult to complete than the regular maps.

Because: Death Race should implement various objects such as spikes and distribute them on the map. You then have to avoid these in order to survive. The data miner even had a short video ready to show a work-in-progress version of one of the new maps. BeastFNCreative speculates that this track may be an early version of a Death Race level, so the final design for release will – obviously – change noticeably.

Apart from the leaked mode, there is still no information about a possible release date; The official announcement of the new mode is still pending. It is considered possible that this could appear with the first major update for Rocket Racing, which was previously announced for early next year. At the beginning of 2024 there will also be a Seaso 1 with speed run leaderboards, further customization options, tracks and more.
