Hello everyone, welcome to another edition of Box Art Brawl!

Before we get into this week’s feud, let’s take a look at how things ended in last week’s edition. We’ve thrown Viewtiful Joe 2 into the ring, with all three major regions fighting for supremacy. In a bit of a surprise, the North American variant won by a landslide, winning 68% of the vote. Europe and Japan managed 16 percent each.

This time we’re going back to 1996 with the Game Boy edition of Tetris Attack. Originally released on the SNES a year earlier, the Game Boy version certainly seemed like an easy win, and of course, it turned out pretty darn good.

North America and Europe share the same design this week, so it’s going to be another tight matchup as the two take on Japan. But enough chit-chat; let’s get on with it.

Be sure to cast your votes in the poll below; but first, let’s look at the box designs themselves.

The Western design is certainly more distinctive than its Japanese sibling, with blocks of color taking center stage. There are a few very angry looking dudes falling from the top of the painting and overall it’s a pretty striking piece that’s sure to turn heads.

Nintendo’s presence can definitely be felt with the Japanese design here, with a few characters from the company’s Super Mario IP making welcome appearances. It’s definitely quite busy compared to western designs, but we do like the overall composition.

Thanks for voting! See you next time for another round of Box Art Brawl.
