The card game Hearthstone gets a very special change with the expansion "Ashes of the Outland": The first new class since the game's release in 2014. However, this is not the only innovation.
What can the newcomer do?
The tenth grade will be the demon hunterwho is not unlike the warlock on – surprise – demons. However, the motto here is “class instead of mass”. So instead of running over your opponent with small weak units, you bring a few strong ones onto the field.
- Hero ability: The Demon Hunter's ability is the Demon Claws. Using them costs a mana and increases your attack by one point. This allows you to incorporate direct attacks into your combat strategy.
- Outcast cards: Demon Hunters are the only ones who have access to the new Outcast cards. They are stronger if you play them from the far left or far right of your hand.
- Free: You don't have to buy the new class. Any Hearthstone user can use the new addition after completing the Prolog quest starting April 7, 2020. It will also be expanded with the future add-ons and more cards will be received.
What else is changing?
- Changes to the priest: Blizzard makes some adjustments to the priest's existing cards. While some cost less mana or do more damage, there are also a number of completely new cards.
- Imprisoned Demons: Another new type of card. These demons remain idle on the field for the first two turns before waking up with an effect.
- Prime: Each of the nine original classes receives a Prime card. When these die, a stronger version of the card is shuffled into your deck.
- Tavern Pass: Hearthstone gets a Battlepass version. With the purchase you get four arena tickets and some Battleground Perks for the rest of the current season such as better attributes, emotes, further selectable heroes and earlier access to new Battleground heroes.
- Login bonus: Since March 17th, you have received the legendary Kael'Thas Sunstrider as rewards for login. The offer runs until June 29, 2020.
The new maps from "Ashes of the Outland" will be featured on various websites until March 25th. You can find a list of the individual announcements on the official Hearthstone website.
