It’s an open secret – and we’ve been talking about it for weeks – that Nvidia is preparing a new batch of graphics cards with the SUPER badge, as it did for previous generations. This is an update to the current RTX 40 series family with three models GREAT which, in principle, will replace models without this suffix. And now we have two more reasons to confirm it: on the one hand, on the Twitter (X) of NVIDIA GeForce they showed a teasing from that, and on the other hand, MSI screwed up again and leaked all three models. We’re going to see it.
According to previously disclosed data, we even know the release dates of these RTX 40 SUPER from NVIDIA: in principle they will be officially presented on January 8 during CES in Las Vegas, and their launch will take place on the 17th for the RTX 4070 SUPER . , on January 24 for the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER and, finally, on January 31 the RTX 4080 SUPER would be launched. It should be kept in mind that we are processing data based on leaks… NVIDIA has not confirmed anything yet.
NVIDIA shows a teasing and X (Twitter)
NVIDIA is surely well aware that we all now know that they have prepared the launch of these RTX 40 SUPER in the coming days, but it still seems that they are hesitant to make any official confirmation. However, on their @NVIDIAGeForce visible.
It’s true that there isn’t a single logo or name that gives us an idea of which graphics card it is, but at this point we all know, right? What is clear is that the company would not have changed its profile image without an important reason, and as we mentioned at the beginning of this article, we are only a few days away from the launch of this new batch of graphics… at least in theory.
MSI mixes and filters the three RTX 40 SUPER models
The launch of the RTX 40 SUPER by NVIDIA is imminent, and its announcement is even more so. This means that the manufacturer has already sent or is in the process of sending the new models to the stores so that they are available from the day they are launched, and it also means that the stores already have the technical information and images to be able to fill in the form. records in their catalogs.
And of course there are stores and stores and some of them don’t care if there is an embargo date, a confidentiality agreement by which they agree not to reveal information in advance, although sometimes it is the fault of the manufacturer who sends their graphics cards (with all the information related to them) without ensuring that the store has signed this type of agreement, so they are free to publish the information they want…and that’s exactly what happened.
As you can see, we have quite a bit of information there, including its price in dollars and in Swiss francs (CHF) in this case. What interests us most is that the price seems quite high, even talking about the RTX 4070 SUPER, which will be the “lowest” range of the three models presented… its price starts at 837 CHF, which which is equivalent to around 900 Euros. Anyway, these are the models custom
The fact is that the technical specifications are also confirmed again, which would be as follows:
GPU | CUDA kernels | Memory | TGP | Launch | Précio | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
RTX 4080 SUPER | AD103-400 | 10,240 | 16 GB GDDR6X | 320W | January 31, 2024 | To confirm |
RTX4080 | AD103-300 | 9,728 | 16 GB GDDR6X | 320W | September 20, 2022 | $1,199 |
RTX 4070 The SUPER | AD103-275 | 8,448 | 16 GB GDDR6X | 285W | January 24, 2024 | To confirm |
RTX 4070Ti | AD104-400 | 7,680 | 12GB GDDR6X | 285W | January 5, 2023 | $799 |
RTX 4070 SUPER | AD104-350 | 7.168 | 12GB GDDR6X | 225W | January 17, 2024 | To confirm |
RTX4070 | AD104-250 | 5,888 | 12GB GDDR6X | 200W | April 13, 2023 | $599 |
Initially, it seems that in terms of price, the new SUPER will be relatively more expensive, but also much better. Without seeing their complete technical specifications, they initially offer better raw performance thanks to a higher number of CUDA cores and, except in the case of the RTX 4070 SUPER which would consume 25W more than the RTX 4070, the consumption is maintained.
Regardless, we once again emphasize the fact that for now all of these are just leaks and we will have to wait until NVIDIA takes the plunge and officially announces these new graphics cards at CES in the coming days.
