Monster Hunter Wilds is highly anticipated. To celebrate the new year, Capcom has decided to speak up and share some news with us. And that’s not to mention the arrival of a slew of collector peripherals just to make us salivate.
Monster Hunter Wilds was announced with great fanfare during The Game Awards 2023 and is already highly anticipated by fans. It’s hard to have missed your driver’s license after the explosion MH world And son extension XXL Iceborne. While it was reserved for Nintendo platforms for a while, the license eventually landed on PlayStation (back in Sony’s case) and Xbox in 2017. Success was immediate and Monster Hunter became Capcom’s most popular and productive license, far, far ahead of all the others. Needless to say, MH Wilds is now highly anticipated, and that’s good because we just got some news and it’s very good.
Monster Hunter Wilds will be back soon!
Capcom has actually released a short video press release to wish us a Happy New Year, but not only that. The company took the opportunity to take stock of its franchise by providing us with some images from MH Wilds along the way.
The next part of the license will be shown this summer. The game is also scheduled to launch in 2025. Basically, Capcom always uses the few months before the launch of its game to release some beta phases for us. The same certainly applies to wilds.
Capcom not only provided an update on MH Wilds, but also shared the monstrous numbers World et Raise of which 23 million and 13 million copies were sold respectively. The difference between the two games is explained not only by the fact that World is older, but also by the fact that it is more technically and playfully advanced than Rise. As a reminder, Monster Hunter Rise was originally exclusive to Nintendo Switch before being ported to all other platforms.
A monstrous collaboration and collectors galore!
So we still have to wait a good year before we can play Monster Hunter Wilds on PS5, PC and Xbox Series. But we’re still waiting: Capcom plans to celebrate the franchise’s anniversary all year long. It started very early with a small event where you were asked to vote for your favorite monster. There are currently more than 200, all generations combined. It’s now a real Pokédex. The results and the associated goodies will be published shortly.
As a bonus, Monster Hunter is partnering brilliantly with MSI to release an entire arsenal of collectible PC peripherals designed entirely in the colors of the franchise. Laptop, screen, motherboard, graphics card, water cooling, case… It’s pretty classy and will surely make fans laugh. These limited editions will go on sale soon, but we don’t know all the details yet. We don’t really have a date, although it won’t be long, and we certainly don’t have the prices. So wait and see.
