Surprise: The action series Halo returns in the new year 2024 with a fresh implementation – but different than you might think! So you can’t expect a new video game in the new year, but rather a board game implementation.
Attention Halo fans: A board game implementation of the action series is scheduled to come onto the market later in 2024. While a new part of the actual video game series is still waiting to be announced, there is at least good news from the tabletop front.
343 Industries and Mantic Games are now cooperating to bring a miniature-based tabletop game based on Halo onto the market. The tabletop project does not currently have a specific name under which the implementation will appear, but what is certain is that you can look forward to all sorts of miniature Spartans.
Many more concrete details about the new implementation can be expected by March at the latest, because then previews will be distributed and published. The full game is scheduled to be released for everyone interested in September 2024.
In any case, Mantic is (logically) convinced of its own product and emphasizes that it will deliver an “exciting and competitive game from a passionate team of artists and designers” who have created “an incredible Halo experience”. The new board game is not the first tabletop implementation of Halo, as Halo ActionClix was released in 2007. In it, Spartans and UNSC forces fight vehicles and aliens.
