In an interview with Game Informer Director Naoki Hamaguchi is said to have introduced the role of Zack Fair. Some time ago, Square Enix had already hinted at a change to the character via their official X account (formerly Twitter).

To find out the end of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, you’ll have to wait until February 29, 2024, when the game will initially be released exclusively for the PS5. But this exclusivity is limited in time.
