Gift is a title developed by two small Japanese studios, Oydium and Million Edge, which are making their debut with this game. Its proposal is to offer us a side-scrolling game, action and puzzles. Certain phases of the title are very reminiscent of Little Nightmares, although it has areas that differ from the Tarsier title since in other parts it uses a much more colorful palette.
In Gift Our protagonist wakes up on a luxury cruise ship. The story offered to us tells of his attempts to escape from a sinking ship and a group of passengers for whom he feels nostalgia and who seem very familiar to him.
The title offers changing and varied maps as we progress through the story. The ship will sink and we will find ourselves involved in situations where we will have to move at an angle or with different water levels. Thus, the appearance and mechanics of the same area can vary depending on the moment in the story. We will have to take advantage of the changes and actions to solve the puzzles and escape.
Sinking inevitably involves dangers. Approaching waves, falling wood or crazy passengers will lead us to constant tension. Then you have the trailer Game:
