Last November Cult of the Lamb The developers promised fans a sex update for the game. They didn’t just tease: the aptly named free update “Sins of the Flesh” is coming to Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4 and 4, and Xbox Series X players on January 16th. It is the biggest update for the game yet, adding new quests and features.
This update delves into taboos of all stripes and, most importantly, gives cultists the opportunity to indulge in the horizontal tango. The trailer for “Sins of the Flesh” shows a cultist naked, except for an artfully placed fig leaf, holding and twisting the titular lamb as he lies on the rizz. In the background, two more cultists run together into a tent that sways and moves as we hear giggling from inside. The two show up holding an egg with scary-looking eyeballs on the outside.
“We used games like Pokémon and The Sims as a reference.” Cult of the Lamb Developers said it last year. Thanks to the decision to support more Sims than DeviantArt, the game actually retained its T (Teen) rating.
And what kind of egg is that? According to a press release, if two followers “love each other very much,” they can find an egg, care for it to hatch, and then indoctrinate the offspring into the cult.
“The Sins of the Flesh” also includes new cult management options and a new progression system that allows cultists to follow a sinful path and indulge in “voracious rituals, vain buildings and wrathful doctrines.” The update adds a Poop variant – niiiiiiice – called Shiny Poop, which can yield fruitful harvests, as well as a new level for the Caretaker Station and storage structures. A new tailor building also means followers can wear outfits; There are 23 different styles to choose from.
The game’s dungeon-crawling roguelite elements also receive an upgrade in the form of a new weapon called the Blunderbuss. “When charged, it fires high damage at close range to bring a new fighting game style to your crusades,” the press release states. You can also charge it for sniper attacks.
There you have it! The Cult of the Lamb The developers have rolled out a major update for its 3.5 million players. “The swarm continues to grow” – these are the studio’s words.
