We bring again another detail related to one of the most notable titles in the classic Wii catalog. This time we are talking about Super Mario Galaxy 2!
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Apparently, this published post allows us to know a hidden character in the game code. And in the title there is a recurring reference to the “dreamer” that is found mainly in the names of internal files and in unused dialogues of a deleted character. However, this reference is neither visible nor playable to the player, remaining completely hidden.
This mention could suggest that at some point the dream theme may have been part of the game, although was not explicitly developed in the final playable experience. You can see it below:

The dream theme could have given an interesting layer to the game if it had been integrated more visibly. Often, concepts not used in games can be fascinating, and it’s intriguing to consider how that idea would have affected the game’s narrative or mechanics if it had been implemented. It’s an interesting reminder of the creative process and content that is sometimes left out of the final version of a game. It would have been cool to see it in Super Mario Galaxy 2!
