After the failure to launch the second Beta of iOS 17.3, Apple has released the third beta of this version for iPhone and iPad, along with the rest of the betas for macOS Sonoma 14.3, watchOS 10.3 and tvOS 17.3. Fingers crossed that this time there are no problems to regret.
A week after Apple rendered many users’ iPhones unusable with iOS 17.3 Beta 2, the company went straight to launching the third beta. We were waiting all last week for a corrected version of Beta 2, which had to be withdrawn a few hours after its launch because it left the iPhone locked in a loop (the famous and at the same time terrible apple on the screen). Many users had to restore the previous version of their phone to be able to use it again, something that is not at all desirable but is possible when trying beta versions that are not yet perfected, that is why it is always mandatory to have the data well protected in iCloud or in a copy of backup to avoid problems. We hope that this third Beta will not have any serious problems and that we will not have to regret any new “apple tree”.
Remember that iOS 17.3, which will be the next big update for iPhone and iPad, brings a new security measure to prevent someone from taking possession of our phone and the personal data it contains if you ever know the terminal unlock code. A new additional step that will require identifying our face through the Face ID system will be required before performing tasks such as accessing our saved passwords, making purchases through Safari or deactivating Search mode. This way, even if someone knows our unlock code, they will not be able to perform any of these functions because the system will not recognize their face. Some other more complex tasks, like changing our Apple ID password, will even require a wait time of up to an hour to complete, unless you are in a location known to the iPhone, such as your home . In addition, Apple Music collaborative lists are added again, which were already seen in iOS 17.2 but were not included in the final version.
