What is Goat of Duty about?
The reference to the famous shooter franchise Call of Duty already gives a clear indication that there is a lot of shooting in Goat of Duty. Since goats don't have opposable thumbs to hold a gun, the cute little animals have them mechanical arms with mounted guns.
Equipped as a war goat, you shoot yourself in Multiplayer arenas against other players. Goat of Duty relies on the old virtues of arena shooters like Quake and Unreal Tournament, i.e. fast movement and plenty of chaotic shootings. There are also goat features such as particularly high jumps and the ability to ram opponents with their heads (or their horns).
Developer 34BigThings applies a special trick to the perspective: You control your goat from a very close third-person, but who looks like a first-person perspective due to the angle of the mounted arm.
Goat of Duty was released on Steam in Early Access on July 10, 2019 and has so far been very well received by players, with 90 percent positive reviews.
