Is a new PS5 controller on the way? A Canadian retailer briefly listed a controller called the Dual Sense V2. It is intended to offer an advantage over the first version.
Just a few weeks ago, Sony launched the PS5 in a new, slimmer version: the PS5 Slim. Now a revised version of the associated Dual Sense controller is apparently in the starting blocks. At least that’s what an entry on the Canadian website of the retailer Best Buy, which has since disappeared, suggests.
This showed a PS5 controller called “Dual Sense V2”. Visually, this has no changes compared to the original model and, according to the description, all of its features are back on board. However, one thing is different: the battery life. This should now be up to 12 hours! With the current controller it is loud Gizmochina just five or six. The battery life would literally double and you would have to charge your controller less often.
Twice as long battery life
Nice: Despite this immense improvement, the controller is offered at the same price, at least according to the entry at Best Buy. Sony has not yet commented on the leak. But there is usually something to such dealer leaks. Because retailers don’t enter fantasy products into their merchandise system. Often prepared product pages simply go live too early.
So it’s safe to assume that an improved PlayStation controller will go on sale in the next few weeks. Whether the battery life really improves that much remains to be seen. This could simply be an error in the product description or dummy text.
