Xiaomi has left MIUI aside to move to HyperOS in Europe, its new area of customization that will also open the operating system to other non-mobile devices and that aims to give the company’s devices in Europe and around the world a strong common axis.
This new software brings some changes, even if it does not break with what was before, but rather makes it evolve. One of the most useful new features it brings is quite similar to one of the best features iOS has implemented on its Home screen in recent years: the Widgets page.
In the case of Xiaomi, this function is an old acquaintance called Application Vault, and with the latest modifications it is more useful than ever, since everything allows you to organize all the widgets without filling the home screen.
How to activate the vault
On the home screen of Xiaomi phones, the leftmost page serves as the default location for placing widgets. To do this, yes, it will be necessary unsubscribe from the Google Discover news page who is usually in this position. To enable the option, simply open the Settings app, go to the Home screen and once there, click on “Screen-1”. Here App Vault should be selected.
This will bring up a large panel when you swipe left where all of its elements can be customized. By default, Xiaomi includes some native panels, which can be removed if not in use. When placing widgets in this section, it must be taken into account that two can be grouped in the same row, provided that these do not occupy more than two positions wide. Otherwise, only one will be enough per line.

The advantage of this section is that, unlike what happens on the main screen, it is possible to create as many lines as you want, since it is a continuous page on which you can slide from top to bottom. This feature can be of great help if you want to keep your home screen clean.
Another recommended use is to create a quick control center in this section, introducing widgets to control home automation, music player and even one with time or quick mobile settings. This way everything will be more organized and you can leave the rest of the space for the icons.
