Apparently there are significantly more developers working on the new Indiana Jones than just MachineGames – and that increases the chances of an early release. There were already similar rumors recently and more clarity will prevail as the week progresses.
As is well known, MachineGames is working on a new Indiana Jones – and it will finally be presented in more detail later this week on January 18th at the Xbox Developer Direct. Then we should also find out the final name, which there were already rumors about recently – and possibly also the release date. According to recent speculation, this will probably take place in the current year 2024 – and the chances of this now seem to be increasing for another reason.
According to a new report, far more developers than just MachineGames itself are working on the new action adventure originally announced in 2021. Accordingly, the Halo makers from 343 Industries, id Software and Tango Gameworks are also said to be involved in the work on the title to speed up the work.
The new information about the studios involved comes from Middleagegameguy, the co-host of the Xbox Infinite Podcast. According to him, work on Indiana Jones was divided between the various Microsoft studios; But MachineGames is in charge.
There should be a lot more clarity about the game at the latest, because then the first big Xbox Developer Direct of the young year will take place. Indiana Jones gets a ten-minute appearance in it and then at the latest we will know whether the game is actually called Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and what exactly it is about. It is quite possible that a release date will then be confirmed. We will keep you up to date!
