GSC Game World announces on its social networks a new delay for STALKER 2 which was supposed to be released in the first quarter of this year. With its final release date September 5 on Xbox Series X/S (first day on XBox Game Pass) and PC.
It seems that we are already seeing the end of the tunnel for STALKER 2, which has had a long and turbulent development due to the war conflict with Russia in which there have been a series of obstacles along the way. Which were gradually surpassed until we are where we are today.
Gamescom 2023 in Cologne was an important event for GSC Game World as they were able to show off a version of the game and receive feedback on what the trade press and fans thought of the game.
The delay is mainly due to certain difficulties encountered in the technical part of the game, which makes STALKER 2 below the standards expected by the most die-hard fans of the franchise. That’s why the GSC Game World team needs a little help to finish polishing the game.
We know you’re waiting for this moment as much as we are. But you have to prepare yourself so that the trip to the Zone goes smoothly and as planned. Thank you for your patience and continued support, and be prepared to receive lots of information about the game later this year.
