During the event in which Samsung presented the new Galaxy S24, just at the end it showed a small video in which you can see what the Galaxy Ring will be, a ring dedicated to health surveillance and with which it will expand its catalog of wearables when it presents it soon.
And after commenting on the news of Samsung Health, the Korean company showed this video in which it was possible to see at certain moments the design of the Galaxy Ring, a device dedicated to health that will arrive to face those that the competition is already preparing; like the same one from Amazfit launched at CES in Las Vegas.
A portable device on which Samsung will focus its efforts measurement of heart rate, exercise, sleep quality and the changes that the latter may undergo. The Korean tech giant didn’t mention much else to drum up interest in a wearable that would replace smart bracelets in some ways; and with the great advantage of being a smaller accessory.
From the little information provided by the Korean company, an experience similar to that offered by Amazfit in its application stands out: sleep score. That is to say, this ring, the Galaxy Ring, in addition to offering information on heart rate and exercise, when the user wakes up in the morning it will give a score so that the quality of sleep can be evaluated.
Otherwise, everything remains a mystery waiting for Samsung to offer more information about this wearable accessory at some point or, at least, when it hopes to launch it on the market, since at the moment it is not known if it will be soon, or will take advantage of the next summer when Samsung’s next foldable is expected to land; about which little is known so far.
But it would have its logic use the August window for the arrival of another important device which opens a new path as an accessory for mobile phones, and especially since the rest of the brands would also be interested in launching one. An important moment is now where this type of accessories offers high-value data in order to know one’s health, or to collect the progress made according to the sports practice carried out by the user.
