Minecraft and its movie
Specifically, we have been able to learn two new actors for the project after those previously confirmed. A while ago we learned that Jack Black will be part of the cast, playing Steve, although details about the plot have not yet been revealed. In addition, Emma Myers, Danielle Brooks and Sebastian Eugene Hansen have recently been reconfirmed for the cast alongside Jennifer Coolidge, Jack Black and Jason Momoa.
The actors confirmed today are Kate McKinnon y Jemaine Clement, who have already joined the cast of the Minecraft movie. For now, no details are known about the characters that McKinnon and Clement will play in the film.
Remember that the Minecraft movie is a collaboration between Vertigo, Legendary, Mojang/Microsoft and On the Roam. It has a team of producers that includes Roy Lee, Jon Berg and Mary Parent, among others. Executive producers are Todd Hallowell, Kayleen Walters, Brian Mendoza and Jonathan Spaihts.
Although filming began in August with Jason Momoa and Matt Berry providing voice leads, production was affected by strikes in the entertainment industry. Now, with the conclusion of the strikes, the green light has been given to resume filming. Although no changes to release dates have been announced, there could be adjustments due to disruptions caused by strikes. The movie is scheduled for April 4, 2025
