2023 was a very busy year for Nintendo, and it wasn’t just because of new games and downloadable content. Nintendo has been releasing a slow but steady stream of updates for its various first Switch games. Not surprisingly, that trend continued into the new year with no signs of slowing down.
For example, a brand new update has been released for Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Once you update, the game should be at version 2.2.0. As far as patch notes go, this update doesn’t add much. Its sole purpose is to add support for the new Noah and Mio amiibo. You can see the patch notes below.
Additional functionality
- Now compatible with “Noah” and “Mio” amiibo. By scanning an amiibo into “System” > “amiibo” on the menu screen, you will be able to use the following special outfits.
- Noah amiibo You can get the “N’s Consul Suit” outfit for Noah. You can also get variants without the Noah, Lanz or Euni jacket.
- I amiibo You can get the “M’s Consul Suit” outfit for Mio. You can also get variations without Mio, Sen or Taion’s jacket.
- Complete certain conditions and speak to the Miibomii NPC at the Llyn Nyddwr Camp in the Fornis region to receive rewards identical to those you would receive with a Noah or Mio amiibo.
