Windows Safe Mode, available on Windows and Windows 11, is an environment in which only the operating system is loaded without any type of driver or programs. This mode is used to find the solution to the problem that Windows presents, whether it is blue screens of death, unexpected crashes or any other reason that does not allow us to work normally.
Thanks to safe mode we can eliminate applications and/or updates that we know are responsible for the malfunction of our equipment. This is particularly useful in the case of updates because they are usually the cause of many operating problems of any PC. Additionally, this mode is particularly useful when Windows refuses to start and displays a black or white screen without any information.
Enter Windows Recovery Mode
Microsoft offers us different ways to access Windows Safe Mode and all of them involve restarting the computer.
- From the Windows desktop. This method is undoubtedly the simplest to access Windows Safe Mode. The only thing we need to do is access the Restart PC button from the Start button and, before clicking on this option, hold down the button. Change.
- From configuration options. This process is a little more complete but remains simple since you just need to access the Windows configuration options (Win + i). In the configuration options, click Update and security and in this menu in Recovery. Then, in the Advanced startup section, click Restart now.
- With black or white screen. When Windows detects that we have a problem booting the PC, on the third attempt the Windows Recovery screen will be displayed, so we really don’t have to do anything on our part, just follow the steps we show you below .
