James Donaldson, also known as MrBeast Aka the YouTuber who makes weird charity videos, aka the guy who sold me a terrible burger, is reportedly close to signing an estimated $100 million deal with Amazon to create a competition series for the to create the company’s streaming service Prime Video.
According to a new report from Puck news, The 25-year-old content creator’s team recently went out and presented a show on streaming platforms. Apparently, loudly Puck newsAmazon has won the bidding war and is now close to signing a deal with MrBeast –who has 233 million subscribers on YouTube– that would potentially be worth around $100 million.
Concrete details about the TV show are not yet known, but a source said Puck news that it is a competition show and that the first episode of the series will premiere on MrBeast’s popular YouTube channel. After that, future episodes will be available exclusively on Prime Video. It is also reported that other brands will be part of the series, which will likely help Amazon pay for the expensive show. This assumes the deal is closed.
It’s not at all surprising that streaming platforms – which are hungry for content and need to boost their numbers significantly as many of them are constantly losing money – would be open to a deal with MrBeast.
