Netflix will soon air the new season of a very successful but also terribly disturbing controversial series.
Talented director, five-star casting and a disturbing story… it promises to get people talking once again.
If Netflix is able to launch successful films and series, certain programs will also be talked about for other reasons. Whether they are unloved, canceled even though they worked, or shocking, some cause controversy and provoke reactions. This is particularly the case with Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Storya series that tells the dark story of the serial killer of the same name.
The hugely successful but truly disturbing series shocked audiences and even the victims’ families upon its release with some fascinating and disturbing episodes. Now that the part focusing on Dahmer is finished, its creator is already planning a sequel, and that risks backlash again.
The second season of “Monsters” is coming soon to Netflix
Ryan Murphy, talented director to whom we owe many successful series American horror story, Joy or Nip/Tuck (to name just these examples) will soon return with a second season of his controversial anthology series. Monsters: The Story of Lyle and Erik Menéndez will this time focus on the disturbing story of two brothers, two murderers who murdered their parents in the 80s. A murder that caused a lot of conversation across the Atlantic.
For this revival of the series, Ryan Murphy assembled a solid cast, including Javier Bardem, the Oscar-winning actor for his role in No country for old men the Coen brothers. He is accompanied by Chloë Sevigny (Feud, American horror story), who will portray the mother of the two assassins. The latter is played here by Cooper Koch (Swallowed) and Nicholas Chavez (Central Hospital). Monster Season 2 will be released on Netflix very soon but does not have a release date yet. Not a trailer either, but a disturbing trailer shared a few months ago. It’s a long wait, but we should definitely have news soon.
