This week, Lucasfilm Animation released a new French-dubbed trailer for the third and final season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch, a series derived from The Clone Wars, which will air on February 21 with three episodes and end on May 1. Recent images introduce new creatures, but also some familiar faces, including Wanda Sykes’ Phee and Sith apprentice Asajj Ventress . “We don’t want to give anything away, but we want fans to know that any new story featuring Ventress will tie in with the events of Star Wars: Dark Disciple,” said director Brad Rau. Below is a recap of what to expect next, but watch out for spoilers if you’re not up to speed with the story.
In the epic final season of Star Wars: The Bad Batch, the members of the Batch will be pushed to their limits as they fight to find Omega, who faces his own challenges in an isolated Imperial science laboratory. With a fractured group and threats on all sides, they must seek out unexpected allies, embark on dangerous missions, and bring together everything they’ve learned to free themselves from the Empire.

What is “The Bad Batch” about again?
As a reminder, the series is produced by Dave Filoni and counts, among others, Dee Bradley Baker (American Dad), Michelle Ang (Fear the Walking Dead) and Jimmi Simpson (Westworld). To remind you of the pitch: Hunter, Crosshair, Wrecker, Tech and Echo are clones that form the elite unit “Bad Batch”, which has less conventional fighting techniques. On an unstoppable escape, the group wants to thwart the plans of the Intergalactic Empire. The series takes place shortly after the Clone Wars and the rise of the Empire and therefore some time after the end of the third film, Revenge of the Sith. The idea for Bad Batch actually came from original creator George Lucas, who wanted to explore the individuality of certain clones in more depth.
