The list of companies that have implemented password support is growing!
iOS 17 passkeys arrived as one of the new features of the operating system launched in 2022. Since then, several services have been updated to take advantage of this alternative which represents the beginning of the path towards the end of words password and which reinforces the security which deserves the information which we usually encrypt. And the social network X, formerly Twitter, is the latest to announce its compatibility with Access Keys.

Sign in to X with iOS 17 passkeys
For iOS 17 users, Access keys come in the form of a QR code that you can scan with your iPhone. Once scanned, it then uses mobile biometrics to log into the account, avoiding the need to enter a password.
As X works to expand support for access keys, you can check out the steps to configure it:
- Log in to the X application.
- Select your account in the navigation bar.
- Choose Settings and privacythen select Security and account access, then Security.
- Under Additional Password Protection, select Password.
- Enter your password when prompted.
- Choose Add an access key and follow the directions.
With this update, X joins the list of companies that have implemented passcode support over the past year, including Google, PayPal, Best Buy, eBay, Dashlane, and Microsoft.
