Reproduction In World Pal gives you the opportunity to hatch powerful friends, whether to fight or work on your base. You can even use it to fill in missing entries in your Paldex.
Know the Palworld Breeding Combos will help you plan which pals you want to raise and in doing so save a lot of time. However, you must first obtain a Livestock farm and one Cake. (Yes – cake.)
Below we will teach you how to raise friends at Palworld, with how to make a cake and the livestock farm. We also covered the basics of Breeding Combosincluding an Fusion Combos List.

How to get a breeding farm in Palworld
Before you can start breeding pals in Palworld, you need to build a breeding farm, and to unlock it you need to be Level 19 and to have two technological points.
Once you have unlocked the Livestock Farm, building it will require the following:
- Wood – 100
- Peter – 20
- Fiber – 50
Keep in mind that the Livestock Farm takes up a lot of space, so choose its place wisely in your base.
Depending on how full your base is currently, you may want to wait to upgrade it to level 10 because at that point you will be able to build a second base. This could then be transformed into a place dedicated to your Livestock Farm and its associated resources.
In addition to the breeding farm, you will also need to build an incubator to be able to hatch the eggs laid by your friends.
However, even if your breeding farm is built, there is another condition to meet before you can start breeding friends…
How to make a cake in Palworld
You have to bake a cake if you want to raise buddies in Palworld. It’s one cake per egg, so if you plan on doing a lot of breeding, then you better start cooking.
To make a cake you must first reach Level 17 and unlock the pot, which requires two technological points and the following materials to build:
- Wood – 20
- Ingots – 15
- Flame organs – 3
Keep in mind that you will need a friend with kindling skills to use the pot. Plus, baking a cake will take a lot of time. (Seriously, this will take time.)
With the pot placed in your base, you need to gather the following ingredients to make a cake:
- Flour – 5
- Red fruits – 8
- Milk – 7
- Eggs – 8
- Honey – 2
Keep in mind that you’ll need multiple cakes if you plan to raise multiple pals, so be sure to multiply the ingredients above by that number.
We’ve explained how to obtain the necessary cake-making resources to help you in your Pal breeding efforts:
How to get flour
To make flour you must first reach Level 15. It’s at this point that you’ll be able to unlock the Wheat Plantation and the Mill – both cost two tech points, so you’ll need to four in total.
However, you need to gather wheat seeds first, as you will need them both to build the wheat plantation and to grow wheat.
A wheat plantation requires the following to build:
- Wheat seeds – 3
- Wood – 35
- Peter – 35
While a Mill requires:
Once you have built at least one wheat plantation and a mill, it’s time to start growing wheat! You can either do it yourself or ask friends with the planting, farming, and watering traits to take care of things for you. Water-type Pals are also ideal for watering land, while Ground-types will take care of planting.
Once the wheat has grown, harvest it (or, again, let your friends do it for you), it’s time to use the mill. Keep in mind that three wheats are equivalent to a bag of flourso you will need 15 wheat in total to make enough flour for one cake.
If you have the money, we discovered that the wandering merchant in the small settlement east of the starting area sells wheat for 100 gold per bundle. (A packet of wheat seems normal, right?)
How to get red fruits
Red Berries are by far the easiest material to find for Cake, because, as you’ve probably noticed, they grow everywhere. However, you can further increase your yield of red fruits by growing them in your base through planting berries.
We recommend having at least one berry plantation, as red berries are great for keeping the friends assigned to your base fed and happy.
The Berry Plantation is unlocked at level 5 and costs two technology points to build. In terms of equipment, you will need:
- Berry seeds – 3
- Wood – 20
- Peter – 20
How to get milk
Milk can be found by beating and capturing Mozzarina. If you want a constant source of milk, however, you can build a ranch on your base. After assigning a Mozzarina to the ranch, it will produce milk at a steady rate allowing you to either pick it up off the ground or into your food box if your friends have it stored there.
To build a Ranch, you must be at Level 5, have two Technology Points and the following materials:
- Wood – 50
- Peter – 20
- Fiber – 30
You can, of course, always buy milk from the wandering merchant in the small settlement east of the starting area. That’s 50 gold coins per milk.
How to get eggs
You will occasionally find eggs lying on the ground near Chikipi. However, this collection method is quite slow. You can, however, earn eggs by defeating or capturing Chikipis.
As with obtaining milk, it is worth assigning a Chikipi to your base’s ranch. Here they will occasionally lay eggs, allowing you to stock up until you have the eight needed for your cake.
The wandering merchant in the small settlement east of the starting area also sells eggs. That’s 50 gold per egg.
How to get honey
Honey can be earned by capturing or defeating Beegardes. Like Mozzarina and Chikipis, Beegardes can be assigned to your base’s ranch and, after that, they will start producing honey there.
Breeding Buddies at Palworld
Now it’s time to finally raise some pals in Palworld! First of all, we advise you to place your Cake in the box located to the right of the Breeding Farm to save time.
Next, you need to decide which buddies you want to breed and, if you want to breed a specific buddy, we recommend jumping straight to the Breeding Combos section where we will tell you how to do it. When it comes to selecting which pals to breed, it’s a good idea to focus on your rarest pals, including those with rare traits, Alpha, or Lucky Pals, as they will create powerful pals.
It is important to note that you need a female and a male on your breeding farm. Simply assign your chosen friends to your base, then throw them into the breeding farm.
Now if your cake is already in the box, all you have to do is sit back and wait for it to happen again. (Well, I’ll go do something else. It would be pretty weird if you just stood there waiting.)
There will be a timer to indicate how long it will take for them to breed and, once full, come back for your egg. All you have to do is put this egg in an incubator, wait for it to hatch and you will have a new friend.
Breeding Combos in Palworld Explained: Fusion List
Breeding combos in Palworld refer to the combination of mates – a male and a female – that you will breed to achieve a specific outcome. This can be done to add a missing entry to your Paldex, pass on a set of stats, or rare and golden job aptitude traits.
Each Pal has a hidden value that plays an important role in breeding, as it is this value that helps determine which species of Pal will hatch from the eggs you receive from breeding it. Let’s call this value the “reproduction number”.
The breeding numbers of the two buddies you place on the breeding farm are added together – hence the term breeding combos – and the result is averaged. You then round this number down to the nearest whole number, which will indicate which Pal will hatch from the egg.
An example of this is if you breed a Lamball with a Chikipi. Lamball’s breeding number is 1470, while Chikipi’s is 1500. After adding these numbers and averaging the result, we get 1485. Rounding to the nearest whole number, this gives us 1480 which is assigned in Mau.
It’s important to note that gender doesn’t play a role in this equation, but certain mates are more likely to produce offspring of a specific gender.
There are also 24 exceptions to the calculation of the reproduction number. If you want one of these 24 pals, then you must breed two specific pals with the egg you receive, always hatching the same buddy. These are called Fusions or Fusion Combos by the gaming community.
Thanks to blahable from reddit for help with the above information and the Fusion Combos list. Blahable has also created a spreadsheet detailing all the breeding numbers, which we recommend using if you are trying to breed a specific mate.
