Here is an overview of some highlights:
- “Aggressive” new combat system – TEKKEN 8 introduces the Heat and Rage system, a new, “aggressive” combat system that enables more offensive tactics. The game features 32 completely different characters, including three completely new fighters: Azucena, Victor and Reina.
TEKKEN 8 also introduces Special Style, a combo assist that can be activated and deactivated at any time during combat. This makes it particularly easy for newbies to get started, as they can get straight into the game without having to learn all the techniques. - The Dark Awakens story mode – The Mishima saga continues in “The Dark Awakens”. At the end of the game, the next chapter of the TEKKEN storyline awaits, including seamless gameplay, captivating cutscenes and exciting battles. - Arcade Quest Mode – In this new single-player mode, players can create their own avatars and face various challenges in different arcade halls. Arcade Quest is ideal for newcomers who want to take their first steps in TEKKEN 8.
- TEKKEN Fight Lounge – In this huge virtual lobby, gamers can gather together and recreate the feeling of being in a real arcade with friends. From this lobby, various modes can be accessed, such as TEKKEN Dojo to train, the Arcade Hall to fight against friends and gamers from all over the world, the Beach Area to play TEKKEN Ball, or the Customization Shop to customize the characters or your own avatar.
- Super ghost battles – Players can test their skills against ghosts in super ghost battles. In the TEKKEN Fight Lounge you can challenge your own ghost, AI-generated CPU opponents using the game data from the development team or ghosts of other players.
- Multiplayer mode with cross-play function – TEKKEN 8 contains many different multiplayer modes, including local versus mode, online ranking mode, player matches and TEKKEN Ball. The cross-play function allows players to compete against each other online on different platforms.
