The very late, much-delayed Skull and Bones is coming soon and to prepare you for it, Ubisoft is offering you to try it for free. Enough to have preview access to the title.
The least we can say is that Skull & Bones has been a long time coming. After several postponements, this time it seems to be the right thing to do and Ubisoft is preparing the release of its piracy title with great fanfare. To ensure everything is perfect on the big day (February 16, 2024), the publisher is offering a beta session. In particular, there is an opportunity to see whether the servers are working well and to check that problems have not disappeared under the radar.
Skull & Bones, finally playable soon
Ubisoft recently announced details about the open beta of its game Skull & Bones, the pirate-themed open universe action role-playing game. This game invites players to immerse themselves in a world of sea piracy, with intense naval battles against legendary pirates, varied challenges in global events and progressive management of pirate territories over multiple seasons.
Players in Skull & Bones will face off against famous pirates like Philippe La Peste and the Hubac Twins just for a little challenge. Customizing ships and acquiring seasonal equipment will play a key role in the success of these battles. In addition, they must develop and defend their empire by looting equipment and resources during events. The clashes promise significant rewards, particularly against merchant convoys and elite warships. In short, a bit like Sea of Thieves but with a Ubisoft flair.
After the end of the main story, Skull & Bones offers more complex challenges and the opportunity to make or break alliances, which will have significant consequences. Players also pilot The Helm, a smuggling ship, and must build a smuggling network across the Indian Ocean, including managing factories and optimizing trade routes to maximize profits.
The open beta is just around the corner
The Skull & Bones open beta is scheduled for February 8-11, with support for cross-platform play and cross-save on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC via Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store. Participants can reach Infamy Tier 6 and receive exclusive rewards, including ship cosmetics and a pet Pandal Lemur. Progress made during the beta will carry over to the full game and provide a head start at launch. To register for the beta, you must go to the official page.
Additionally, below you will find the required configurations to play this game on PC. For a 4K experience, it should be noted that a powerful graphics card like the RTX 3080 is necessary. It’s not nothing.
