FaceTime video calls are a great (and free) way to connect with your family and friends wherever you are. Being able to see their faces from time to time will create a physical distance that sets you apart.
But did you know that with SpaceTime you can also make audio calls? This app provides the right solution for those who have limited driving minutes in their contractual rates, since this is done online.
It is accurate because it works on a network that you do not have to worry about calling your loved ones from another part of the world. Use wifi and you will avoid additional costs. In addition, the call center is also very grateful for the use of HD audio.
In this article, we show you how easy it is to set up your iPhone or iPad to make video and audio calls using SpaceTime. This app also works with iPod touch, Mac and MacBook, but Apple's computer system is different.
How to set up FaceTime
Before setting up FaceTime on your device, check that you and the person you are calling have all of these:
- Compatible device. It could be the iPhone 4 or later, any iPad model (except for the original 2010 model), the fourth touch of the iPod or later or the Mac with OS X 10.9.2 or later.
- Internet connection. Whether on your Wi-Fi network or your mobile data, you must make sure your device is connected to the Internet. If possible, we recommend using Wi-Fi.
- Camera and microphone. This may be the one that comes with the device or is connected to the outside. It shouldn't be a problem, because they all installed themselves without a Mac mini or an old Mac without a camera.
You can now set up FaceTime in your terminal:
1. Open the & # 39; Settings & # 39; App on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, swipe down and tap & # 39; FightTime & # 39;
2. On the next screen, make sure the button at the top is all turned on (it should be green). The first time you open it, it may take a few seconds to activate it.
3. Select & # 39; Use your facial ID & # 39;
4. Enter your username and password to log in to your Apple ID account.
5. Choose which email and phone number you want people to use to contact you using FaceTime. To add a new email, you will need to return to the & # 39; Settings & # 39 ;, tap on the section with your name and go to & # 39; Name, phone numbers, email & # 39;
6. You can also change the image associated with your Driver ID: go to & # 39; Settings & # 39 ;, followed by IMeTeTime & # 39; s and scroll down until you find an option. You can choose an image associated with your email or phone number.
7. Finally, you can also choose whether you want your interviewer to be able to use the & # 39; Live Photo in FaceTime & # 39; (taking pictures during the call) Turn the button on or off as you like.

How to make an audio call with SpaceTime
People often forget that SpaceTime can also be used to make audio calls. The process is similar to video (see previous section), but instead of tapping on the camera icon, you should tap on the thumbnail as a phone.
As we mentioned earlier, SpaceTime voice calls are a great way to avoid wasting minutes included in your contract fee. It can also be used to make calls with your iPod touch or iPad as you would with your iPhone.
The only thing you will need to connect to a wifi network or have a 3G or 4G compatible device. Remember that you will not need to know the person's phone number, it will be enough for the email to be associated with their FaceTime.
