15 months have passed since Samira, Neele and Co. held their pregnancy test in their hands. And oh hell, life has been different since then, with or without a baby. 24 hours can be damn hard when a crying baby dominates your everyday life. But also when you no longer feel like being an influencer, you simply no longer feel seen and your stomach resembles the Grand Canyon after the birth. Whether it’s baby swimming, mediation or in the middle of preparing your best friend’s birthday, everything goes differently than planned on this cold winter day.
While Tina still wants nothing more than to finally have her own baby, Samira doesn’t regret her abortion a year and a half ago for a second. Samira is totally hungover and busy with the ups and downs of her private life and the dark side of single freedom called ghosting.
Roommate Kyra could really use a little freedom. She is 9 weeks pregnant. Accordingly, Neele and the expectant father Jerome (Omar El-Saeidi) find baby items a perfect birthday present. Samira is quite alone in Jerome’s Späti with her attitude of not having to completely give up her own personality as a mother. A chance encounter causes Neele’s façade of perfect parenthood to crumble.
At the same time, Kim and Paula have to realize that same-sex parenthood does not automatically mean equal parenthood. Especially when the sweet little baby turns out to be a constantly crying bundle. Momfluencer Clara also feels like crying. Two children, a ten-year relationship and countless lucrative advertising deals, but she’s really not happy.
None of these are real problems, says Alexej, who hopes that Samira’s mediation will allow him to have regular contact with his daughter. But neither Samira’s methods nor her physical condition meet his expectations.
In an anthological puzzle construction in which the ensemble’s paths repeatedly cross, the six episodes of the dramedy deal with motherhood and miscarriage, non-parenthood, life planning and life crises.
