Gaming News Dragon Ball Sparking Zero: More than a hundred characters confirmed? Still, Goku and Vegeta make up 15% of the game’s cast
Dragon Ball sparkles! Zero has announced that it will have over a hundred playable characters, but expect a variety of versions of Goku and Vegeta as well.
DRAGON BALL: Sparks! ZERO is the sequel to the popular Budokai Tenkaichi. If the game series also receives recognition, it is for its impressive number of playable characters. When you look at the most popular and second-tier fighters in the manga, there is something for everyone. In this new work, which is not an exception to the rule, more than a hundred fighters will be available, but one must expect numerous versions of the two protagonists, Son Goku and Vegeta.
A not-so-surprising casting
Bandai Namco recently revealed some of the fighters that will be playable in Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero, and there will be 164 in total. We can see in the image part of the roster of iconic enemies such as Cell and Frieza, as well as the main members of Team Z such as Yamcha, Piccolo and Ten Shin Han. But what particularly catches the eye is the large number of versions of Son Goku and Vegeta, there are 24 in total. That may seem like a lot, but in 40 years the two characters have developed enormously and all of their transformations are integrated into the dragon ball games nothing new.
In fact, in Budokai Tenkaichi 3, there were 23 variants of Son Goku and Vegeta available out of 163 fighters. Quite similar figures, since in the latter it is worth noting the presence of Dragon Ball GT, while in the new work many forms are based on the new official sequel to Toriyama’s original work Dragon Ball Super. In Dragon Ball FighterZ, 7 out of 44 versions of the two protagonists are present, including the numerous DLCs released.
A comprehensive offering of Dragon Ball video games
Following the announcement of Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, fans are rightly excited as the Budokai and Budokai Tenkaichi licenses have left their mark on fans as incredible experiences.
