“Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League” Not available yet for most players, but warner bros games and Stable as a mountain The server has been pulled out.
Here’s the weird thing: some players have already started playing Suicide Squad, and for those in New Zealand, it’s already January 30th, the game’s Early Access release date (for the rest of us, it’s February 2nd day). Most of the rest of the world isn’t able to play the game yet, but the official Suicide Squad Twitter account posted a notice earlier today saying that the game is already undergoing maintenance, meaning it will be unplayable during this time. The weirdest part? For some, this resulted in an error where players launched the game and were told they had completed the story.

“We are aware that many players are currently experiencing an issue where they have completed the entire story when logging into the game for the first time,” a statement from the Suicide Squad Twitter account read. “In order to resolve this issue, we will be conducting maintenance on the game servers. During this time, the game will be unavailable. We expect this will take a few hours and we will update once we have more information. As brought to you We apologize for the inconvenience.”

Obviously, this hasn’t been a great start for the game, which, in addition to some very poor recent previews, was delayed for an entire year due to lukewarm response to its gameplay. Thankfully, a post-launch update introducing offline mode is planned to be released at some point, although the current release window is sometime in 2024.
With both Suicide Squad and the upcoming Skull and Bones having a rough development phase, it does raise the question of whether we’re witnessing the end of the live service trend. Suicide Squad is coming out soon and Skull and Bones will be in open beta next month, so maybe we’ll find out the answer to this question soon.
