Announced during The Game Awards 2022it has taken all this time for Kojima Productions to present new information about Death Stranding 2. The most recent State of Play presented an extended trailer of the sequel directed by Japanese developer Hideo Kojima. This just one day after Death Stranding: Director’s Cut will land on Apple devices.
‘On the Beach’ is the subtitle of this extended trailer for Death Stranding 2.
Sam Bridges, the main character played by Norman Reedus, works for a “generous employer” at a company called Drawbridge. After his successful work to reunify a post-apocalyptic America, Sam is tasked again with connecting new areas and regions. On this occasion he is accompanied by a kind of puppet with artificial intelligence of decidedly old technology and with less ‘framerate’.
The scenarios are considerably more numerous compared to the first game, but we do not know exactly where in the world it is located. Despite Sam’s efforts to unite the future United States – whose version of America continues to ignore the rest of the continent – humanity is once again in danger and on the brink of extinction.
Higgs (in the best style of Cyborg Ninja in MGS) returns as a robot samurai who also carries an electric and not exactly musical guitar. Those who have played the first title can see the return of other characters and a clue about the fate of BB-28.
The real question of the sequel is: should we have connected? Maybe Sam made a mistake after all with the United Cities of America. That will not prevent enemies from the other side and human obstacles from crossing Bridges’ second journey.
When does it come out Death Stranding 2?
Death Stranding 2 It will arrive on PlayStation 5 until 2025.
