Tomb Raider I-III Remastered is coming out in just a few weeks and one thing many fans want to know is if there will be a physical version of this retro collection. While there is supposedly there were some lists on the internetofficially speaking, there was no announcement.
During a recent interview with Nintendo Everything, Aspyr’s Product Director Chris Bashaar mentioned that there has been no official announcement. In other words, it’s not a complete no, so maybe there’s still hope. Here’s the entire exchange:
Q. Are there plans for a physical release?
Apsyr: “We have not made any physical release announcements for Tomb Raider I-III Remastered.”
Of course, even if there was a physical release, an announcement could still be a long way off. A few other questions that often come up with these announcements are the game cards or the code in the box. The digital file size of Tomb Raider I-III Remastered on Switch is currently listed as 4.63 GB.
Many physical versions of Aspyr were previously available via Limited Run and came with a game card. Unfortunately, the more recent Star Wars Heritage Pack released by Aspyr required fans to download the Knights of the Old Republic games.
So there you have it – there is currently no official mention of a physical edition of Tomb Raider I-III Remastered. If we hear any news, we’ll be sure to let you know. This remastered version of Tomb Raider will be available through the Turn on eShop February 14, 2024.
