Studios laying people off? The Palworld developers are looking for new employees!
2024 is already a terrible year for video game developers, as the industry experienced numerous mass layoffs throughout the month of January. If there’s one studio where (almost) everything is shining right now, it’s Pocketpair. Palworld’s tidal wave allowed the group to look to the future more calmly. But with a particularly busy roadmap, we have to keep the promises so as not to provoke dissatisfaction among players!
But what is this video game that already has The Sims shaking?
The Paralives game appeared in a new video and we can at least say that it promises a lot of good things. Its multiple options for editing its interior in the smallest details, its avatar creation system with numerous statistics, its possible interactions between “Section“…everything seems to indicate that we are in the school of a serious competitor to the Sims. There are two important things to note in this video. Firstly, the title is planned for 2025. Secondly: is that it will be paid at the time of release, but all DLC will be free. Paralives is definitely a “Life simulator“to monitor.
The Steam Neo Fest hides a horror game that you should definitely try out
The Steam Next Fest often puts promising software in the spotlight. But There’s one that’s getting more and more attention on the internet: Mouthwashing, a first-person narrative horror game, developed by independent studio Wrong Organ (How Fish is Made). The software places us in a drifting spaceship and invites us to encounter disturbing themes ranging from suicide to cannibalism. The demo is short but very effective: if you want to be shocked by an indie horror game, now is the time to fire up Steam and venture into a space as dark as a moonless night. The final version is planned for the first quarter of this year.
Ubisoft’s free-to-play FPS is finally here!
Postponed several times, it should finally arrive soon. As part of an investor conference Ubisoft has confirmed that its action game XDefiant will be released before the end of March. For the development team, which has encountered many problems in the past (netcode and stability), it feels like visible light at the end of the long dark tunnel. As a reminder, XDefiant is a free-to-play FPS that achieved some success and positive feedback during its beta phase. However, there is a lot of competition in this segment and COD certainly has no intention of letting a newcomer into the field without trying to give them a punch between the eyes. If all goes well, we can test the beast in less than two months.

A sound glitch would have revealed a future playable character from Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League
While Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has just released and is struggling to appeal to press and gamers alike, we know that Rocksteady is doing its best to provide regular online content to keep its gaming service alive. While the Joker is currently the only bonus character revealed by the development studio, one Reddit user believes he’s found the identity of another character in the DLC thanks to seemingly unrelated dialogue there. ZeronintyPlays actually posted an excerpt Gameplay in which his hero fights before Brainiac tells him: “I didn’t expect you to be the weak link in this chain, Freeze“. From there to saying that Mr. Freeze should be joining the cast soon, for some there is only one step.
