Is iPadOS 17 a perfect system? Far from it, since it is quite closed compared to Google, but it is generally a safer bet for users who do not know very well what they are looking for or want.

The price (and accessories)

Although tablets are good entertainment tools in themselves, some users also use them for work or productivity purposes. However, they often use accessories to enjoy a more complete or satisfying experience.

Both the iPad Pro and HUAWEI MatePad Pro support styluses and keyboards with trackpads, but there are differences to be aware of.
