Here you have all the Apple news that we expect in March

Apple, expect, March, news

2024 has started very strongly at Apple. The company launched the Vision Pro in the United States in what can already be considered a historic moment. For Tim Cook, it is the beginning of the era of spatial computing. From now on, the focus of innovation will be there.

But does that mean there won’t be any more interesting news? Certainly not. Apple is preparing so that March is a month with more presentations and launches. Let’s see what we might see in stores over the next few weeks, once attention turns away from Mobile World Congress at the end of February.

The most urgent: new iPad models across their entire range

iPads are, on the street, the product range that has been waiting the longest for renewal. We wait to see:

  • A new iPad Pro with a design change, particularly in terms of the Magic Keyboard which would have metal parts and a larger trackpad.
  • A new range of iPad Air with a new 12.9-inch model.
  • A new standard 11th generation iPad.
  • A new iPad mini with a more powerful chip to bring it up to date.

The possible, and even probable, is that we will see it before April. Perhaps suddenly, with a simple press release and an almost immediate in-store launch, but it could also be that we attend an Apple event at some point in March to announce several new features at once.

New Macs: M3 chip needs to be expanded

The M3 chip is already in the MacBook Pro and iMac, but there are other computers it’s due to land on:

  • We’re still waiting for an M3 Mac mini, with the more powerful option of an M3 Pro for those who need it.
  • The MacBook Air is also expected to upgrade to the M3 chip, both for the 13-inch and 15-inch models.
  • The Mac Studio and Mac Pro are expected to feature the M3 Max chips and the rumored M3 ultra that we should see introduced soon.

We assume that the most powerful versions of these computers can be presented at the next WWDC, with more developers in mind. But it wouldn’t be strange to see a opening speech during the month of March where updates to the Mac mini and MacBook Air are presented.

An iPhone 15 in another color?

For several years, Apple has always taken advantage of the month of March or April to launch an iPhone in a new color. In 2021 we saw the iPhone 12 in purple, in 2022 we saw the iPhone 13 in green, and in 2023 we saw the iPhone 14 in yellow.

We cannot therefore exclude that, suddenly, let’s see an iPhone 15 in a new color. Since there is no idea what color it is, bets are accepted in the comments.

Finally, we should not underestimate the arrival of iOS 17.4. In the United States this will not mean a major change, but for citizens of the European Union it will mean the arrival of alternative application stores. Also web browsers with their own rendering engine, and an opening of the NFC chip. We will be able to see these changes implemented before the end of March, and their full effects throughout the year. For me, that’s the most interesting thing that’s going to happen.
