The brand new Eclipse looks almost as massive as the Tout Terrain Pamir, but is available significantly cheaper. Gazelle also offers the Eclipse in numerous expansion levels, including as a fast S-Pedelec. Customers can choose between an 11-speed derailleur from Shimano or a continuously variable gear from Enviolo. The latter is also available in combination with a strap instead of a chain.

There are also options for the solid aluminum frame. You can choose between a raised top tube (high-step) or a low-entry bike (low-step, aka women’s bike).

Introducing Gazelle Eclipse

In any case, the powerful Bosch Performance Line CX motor with a torque of 85 Newton meters ensures stress-free driving, even on hills. The system is combined with the kiosk handlebar unit, which can also display navigation data. When it comes to the battery, Gazelle also goes right to the top of the shelf, installing a 750 Wh battery, also from Bosch.

Depending on which support level you choose, a range of up to 180 kilometers should be possible. Until recently, this was the largest Bosch battery. But there is now a new, in-house range king with the PowerPack 800 Frame.

Also worth mentioning: The Gazelle bikes have a built-in, internet-capable GPS module that allows the Pedelec to be located remotely using the manufacturer’s own app. This service and theft insurance are included ex works for one year.

The touring e-bike’s additional features include LED lighting, mudguards, luggage rack, suspension fork, wide tires and hydraulic disc brakes.

Buy Gazelle Eclipse: price and availability

The Eclipse T11 HMB with derailleur gears is available at a price of 5,499 dollars. If you choose the Eclipse C380 HMB variant for 5,999 dollars, you will receive a belt drive and Enviolo gearshift. As Eclipse Speed, the bike is also available as a 45 km/h S-Pedelec. You can find all the details about the Eclipse series here at the manufacturer.

An alternative to the Eclipse could be the much cheaper Decathlon LD 920 E with automatic gearshift. You can find more e-bike innovations of the year here.
