Cloud Gaming is still in beta format, even though Microsoft has invested in this area, cloud gaming is not even close to being standardized. In fact, the figures shared with the CMA on the use of this technology and the different market shares clearly show that we are far from adoption.
The current technologies work, but the infrastructure doesn’t, and to be honest it doesn’t seem like as a core gaming system it’s the future. Maybe using Cloud Gaming or cloud gaming in general is more of a complementary thing, but that consoles and PCs will continue to reign in the living room This seems to be a fact and will continue for some time.
You can play all your games from any screen with an internet connection
But whether that future happens or not, we have to take advantage of the fact that at least Microsoft has brought this technology into the Xbox ecosystem and Game Pass Ultimate members can enjoy it. Personally, I’ve played a lot of games like Octopath Traveler away from home, I tend to use it for less demanding games.
But of course, until now Cloud Gaming was limited to the Game Pass catalog. But what about my games? Well, that was a promise from Microsoft, telling us that we could play our entire catalog in the future. A future which has not yet arrived. But that could change this year, because Phil Spencer himself seems to have confirmed it to a user via Xbox Live chat, that the possibility of playing our catalog will be available this year 2024.
NASburg, a random Xbox gamer messaged Phil Spencer on Xbox and @XboxP3 said we should be able to play our games on xcloud this year! That would be great. Make xcloud a competitor to Nvidia Geforce Now!#xcloud #xbox #playpass pic.twitter.com/QGShleIYQk

We haven’t been able to verify the authenticity of the capture, but some users on the Discord where it was shared say it’s real. I remind you that there is no official confirmation on this subject from the Xbox team, so take this information as a rumor.
