Here you’ll find all the new Prime Video releases for the week of February 19-25, 2024, with an all-new series for the platform. A promising show with a great cast.
Prime Video had one of its best weeks with the release of a legendary saga, the Indiana Jones quadrilogy. All four films are available to all subscribers. At the same time, the platform has expanded the show/broadcast category somewhat with two new functions. Bérengère Krief’s one-woman show and the return of an essential program from the service, LOL: Whoever laughs comes out! Season 4. Four episodes have been released so far, but for the others you will have to wait until the end of the week.
New Prime Video features February 19-25, 2024 (S8)
Our overview of the Prime Video releases from February 19th to 25th, 2024 is, for once, very quick. Unfortunately, there are no new films, documentaries or shows for subscribers. All new features are based on a single, completely new series: The (2nd) Best Hospital in the Galaxy. A medical show, but in animation mode, closer to Futurama than Dr. House resembles.
“In the first season of The Galaxy’s Second Best Hospital, doctors Sleech and Klak take on an extremely dangerous and potentially game-changing case, endangering existence itself. While forgetting their disastrous personal lives might be an improvement.” official synopsis (via Prime Video).
This new Amazon Prime Video series was created by Cirocco Dunlap, who is most notably credited with “Russian Doll” on Netflix. In any case, it seems pretty crazy, like Hazbin Hotel, and the production has a nice cast singing. In the original version we find Natasha Lyonne (American Pie), Stephanie Hsu (Everything Everywhere All at Once), Keke Palmer (Nope), Maya Rudolph (Idiocracy) and Kieran Culkin (Succession). At VF, Amazon specifically turned to Donald Reignoux, who recently appeared in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League.
“The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy” will be available exclusively on Prime Video this Friday, February 23rd at 1:00 a.m. (Thursday to Friday night). On the same day as the new episodes of the second season of LOL: He Who Laughs Comes Out!
