Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S series is arguably the main rival to Apple’s ubiquitous iPad, and the Korean giant already appears to be tackling the next iterations expected to debut in 2024.
Here’s everything we know so far about the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10, from the expected launch date to the specifications.
When will the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 be released?
There has been no official announcement on the potential release date of the new tablets, but we can use past generations to get a pretty good idea.
Here’s when they first entered the world stage:
As you can see, most new tablets arrive in August. The Tab S8 series has deviated from this model, but it appears that a return to the late summer schedule is being considered for 2024.
If you were interested in the FE or Lite versions, these tend to come out a little later than the mainline models. Here’s how they lined up recently:
The lineup seems a bit more random than the standard models, with Samsung dropping the Tab S8 series altogether and launching the Tab S7 FE a year after the Tab S7 launch. At the moment we don’t know if we’ll see an FE model in 2024, but that doesn’t seem very likely at the moment.

How much will the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 cost?

What new features will we see in the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10?
As Samsung has yet to confirm any details about its upcoming tablets, we don’t officially know what to expect with the Galaxy Tab S10 lineup.
There have also been few rumors, so the new devices remain somewhat of a mystery. We can, however, look to previous models to find what we think Samsung might have up its sleeves for its next generation of tablets.
New processors
The current Samsung S9 tablets are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, just like the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra phones.
But with the new Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra all moving to the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 platform (the Ultra getting the overclocked “for Galaxy” variant), this should indicate that the Tab S10 devices also benefit of the upgrade.
Hopefully this will translate into better performance and battery life thanks to the new chipset’s improved power efficiency.

New design
Samsung can’t really do much in terms of design changes when it comes to the S10 lineup.
Function seems to trump form when it comes to this type of device, and the company has already added S-Pen charging anywhere on the back with the Tab S9 models, as well as IP68 waterproof rating across the entire range.
In our review of the Galaxy Tab S9, we pointed out that the edges could be smoother to allow for a more comfortable grip, which could be something we see in the Tab S10. Otherwise, don’t expect much in the aesthetic department.
Improved app performance
One complaint that showed up in all of our tests of the Galaxy Tab S9 line was the lack of optimized apps compared to the iPad.
While this isn’t necessarily something Samsung can solve, it would be a huge step forward for Android tablets if the Korean company could use its market dominance to achieve this. There is no shortage of applications, but the experience is not as satisfactory as on the Apple platform. Fix that, and the Galaxy Tab S10 line would be absolutely great.
As new details emerge, we will update this article. So come back from time to time to see what we can dig up. In the meantime, check out our guide to the best tablets to see what the Galaxy Tab S10 will be up against.
